Hi, I’m Lauri.

I help women and young adults dealing with anxiety and painful past experiences feel heard, seen, and supported so they can claim the life they’ve always wanted. My approach goes beyond traditional talk therapy by using approaches that also engage the body, mind, and nervous system. I specialize in anxiety, trauma - complex PTSD, substance use, and eating disorders. 

My clients come to me not only looking for immediate relief but also seeking long-term change. They are done with the cycle of chasing symptoms and want to understand the deeper roots of their struggles and discomfort in order to achieve lasting change.

Methods

I am certified in EMDR, trained and certified in Anchored Relational Therapy (formerly known as AIR Network Model), trained in ERED (Embodiment Recovery for Eating Disorders), and trained in Internal Family Systems.

My approach to therapy is to not just focus on what is going on in your brain but also to explore what is going on in your body and nervous system. We will work together to determine which method or methods are right for you.

Doing the work

We will begin by gathering history and identify and clarify your needs and goals to create an individualized approach to meet them.  Along the way we  will check in to see how things are going and change and adjust as needed in order for you to experience the transformation you have been waiting for. 

Remember you are the expert on you.  I will serve as your guide,  collaborator, and partner on this journey towards healing and transformation. I will offer new ways of looking at things while supporting and challenging you to explore the connections between your thoughts, feelings, and behavior in a compassionate, curious, and non-judgmental approach.
